Yellow Fever is a viral infection spread mainly by mosquito bites. It is also a song title of a song by Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
“Yellow” is not only a kind of fever, Yellow also can describe caution, dishonesty, cowardice, and deceit.
Too many so-called Black leaders have the mental form of Yellow Fever. They express their leadership by leading us in ways that are pleasing to our exploiters and oppressors.
The Black community leaders designated by the imperialist press suggest that the only way our people can progress is to mimic the behavior the people who have fed us a steady diet of false promises.
If we don’t even attempt to improve our situations we will experience the same outcome the people who have the Yellow Fever disease have, we’re dead!
If we don’t have a cure for fevers caused by miseducation, we’re dead. If we don’t find a way to stop modern-day neocolonialism, we’re dead, and if we never see the day when we can restore and resurrect Black businesses, we’re dead.
When wolves and other predators in the pasture threaten the Black sheep, our shepherds must not tuck their heads between their legs and run away. A true shepherd must stand up for his sheep, he must speak out for his sheep,, and he must protect his sheep.
Our leaders must be honest and not dishonest. They must show us bravery instead of cowardice.
In a capitalist country like the United States, money is the primary motivating factor. If we can generate revenue,
we can finance the schools, clinics, farms, factories, and other things that will help us do for ourselves.
Stop saying to yourself and others that we will never rise from where we are as a group.
African nations with dynamic leadership have stunned the world by standing up to foreign colonizers.
In a relatively short time, more than a few countries in Africa have gone from being “dirt poor” to being “filthy rich”!
African Americans must consider new leaders who are thinkers and fighters. For years, The Gantt Report has been
Telling TGR readers, “We will begin to go forward when we begin to go back. We can help Africa, and Africa can help us.
Africa has leaders who put the African people first. The best African leaders are focusing on delivering what their people need.
When African leaders like Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traore says, Burkina gold belongs to the Burkina people and not
The African colonizers, Traore is cheered. When African Americans say the resources in America’s Black communities should be controlled by Black community residents, those fearless African Americans are shunned, avoided, despised and demeaned.
Yellow is a bright color but I wouldn’t describe yellow behavior as being bold, I would say following, supporting cowardice, and dishonesty will kill us, kill our ability to unite, kill our desire to progress, stifle our educations, and continue to harm our well-being.
If we can’t cure our economic, social, cultural, and physical form of “Yellow Fever”, we’re dead!
