If you are a registered voter who unconditionally loves the elected officials who represent your community, today’s column is not for you. You can turn the page in your newspaper, or you can go to the next column on theganttreporttruth.com. You may not like this column.
Here we go!
The two major political parties are controlling your elected officials, primarily with money.
Republicans need to parrot, rubber stamp and repeat every lie told by President Donald Trump. If Republicans don’t vote for tariffs, don’t support the unlawful arrests of American citizens that look and sound like a Venezuela immigrant, don’t support spending taxpayer dollars (along with private money) on a ballroom where young girls can come to Washington, D.C. to dine and dance with 80-year-old politicians, don’t ignore Trump’s arbitrary and malicious idea to use tax dollars to bailout an authoritarian friend of Trump in Argentina, don’t support Trump’s denial of military weapons and military intelligence to Ukraine, an American ally, and don’t respect their oaths to protect the Constitution and preserve democracy, the Republicans need to serve Trump rather than serve the voters who elected them.
Trump controls Republican elected officials by threatening to “primary” them and ask conservative donors not to contribute to unfaithful Republican candidates.
On the other hand, Democrats control Democratic candidates on all levels by telling Democratic candidates, “We will give you Democratic Party dollars to help your campaign, but you must agree to hire staffers we approve and tell you to hire.”
In my opinion, Democrats may be telling Black candidates that no Black person in any American community is talented enough, professional enough, experienced enough, and qualified enough to generate votes in Black communities, districts, and states. Black candidates are told to hire “Miss Daisy”, an old white consultant, or hire “the little rascal”, a younger white whose father donated money to Democrats and demanded the party to hire his unprofessional child or his relative.
I wish God could send us more Adan Clayton Powells, Shirley Chisholms, Maynard Jascksons, Marion Barrts, Carrie Meeks, Alcie Hastings, and Harold Washingtons. We’ve had Black elected officials who hired Blacks, worked with Black media, worked with Black community activists, patronized Black businesses, and most could point to Black entrepreneurs who made millions on government contracts!
Tell me, what Black man, or woman, do you know that has received a million-dollar government contract or a million-dollar political campaign contract? There are a few, but you don’t know them.
This modern-day “Willie Lynch” philosophy where Black elected officials are told that Black candidates are better than other Blacks in the community, must be rejected, discredited, and abandoned.
All Blacks in America are in the same boat today as they were in slavery days, so to speak. The Black Millionaires can’t hail a cab in New York, and the Black homeless man or woman living on the streets of New York can’t get a cab either.
When Black candidates lose elections, their value to the party diminishes. Blacks can repeat Democratic “talking points” but they cannot voice Black community messages to voters.
Democratic Party candidates will need every Black vote they can get to save America from a Trump dictatorship. Democrats know very well that highly paid MAGA Democratic consultants can’t draw flies to an election outhouse.
Can I prove it? Yes.
Voter turnouts have steadily declined because of voter suppression and voter indifference. In the southern city labeled as a “Black Mecca”, there are over a million registered voters, but a race for the mayor’s position can be won with only 15,000 votes!
Black voters have been misinformed, misled, distracted, denied, disrespected, and rejected because Black candidates have been controlled by Democratic and Republican campaign controllers!
Black candidates, rise up, and stand up, and demand that all political parties give Black Americans more opportunities to participate in political purchasing transactions.
Black political ice is just as cold as white ice!
