America's Greatest Illusion

America will be celebrating it's 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. The event will mark the adoption date of the Declaration of Independence.

The event will not be as unifying as American citizens will expect.

The 250th anniversary will primarily be a birthday event for the worse president in United States history.

No one has done more to discredit the American Way, disparage the American Constitution, and divide the American citizenry more than President Donald Trump, the Babayka, or Russian Boogieman!

America is a wealthy nation with thousands of billionaires but too many rich people got their riches from the country's ghettos and barrios.

For hundreds of years, white America generated massive wealth by enslaving Black people.

Everytime I drive past a cotton field in Georgia or a tobacco field in Florida, I think about my ancestors tiling the fields and gathering the harvests for their wicked slave masters.

Most early Americans came to this country from Europe. Early Europeans knew the first European scholars like Plato, and others, got much of their knowledge and wisdom from Africans that established civilizations when many Europeans remained cave dwellers.

But today, in Donald Trump's America, Black knowledge, wisdom, and intelligence is non-existent.

Trump and his adminstration's views of all Black workers, all Black business people, all Black institutions of higher learning, and all positive Black voices and communicators as "DEI" people who are lazy, nasty, unprofessional, and unsatisfactory!

Ray-Ray and Shenequa are Americans too. Blacks, Hispanics, and other non-white citizens are American citizens also.

It's no secret, many Black Americans love America more than they love Africa. And, some African nations have sought to ban African Americans from returning home to their Motherland.

When I was working in Florida, a news colleague at another media outlet was interviewing a white woman in a trailer park and asked here if she would "change places with Oprah Winfrey?".

The trailer park lady responded and said, "I'd like to have Oprah's money but I would never want to be Oprah (or Black)!"

Even the whites that have less money, worse housing, no rural hospitals, no food stamps, and little or no future, are well aware that they can catch a cab in New York City Mary J. and Beyonce may have difficulty with public transportation.

America's beginnings were based on feelings that "all men are created equal" but that statement wasn't real when it was written1

Trump's 250 celebration is primarily for Trump. Like other wannabe dictators Trump wants to make evey decision in governance, spending, celebrations, and wars.

He did not ask me or other Black Americans for input or advice.

I don't celebrate holidays but I respect others in my life when they go all out to get the ribs grilled, the alcohol flowing, and the line dancing started.

However, I do thing events such as America's 250th birthday should be celebrated by all Americans.

Don't let the supremacists who'll attend the parades scare you when they begin to sing "Jews will not replace us!" Trump's birthday party disguised as an American celebration is just an illusion.

Enjoy the upcoming festivities with family and friends if you can.
